Hard Rock Cafe Launch Second Guitar Amnesty
Got a broken axe lying round? HRC can find it a good home
Music News reports that the second annual Guitar Amnesty is looking for all manner of guitars (it doesn't matter whether they are broken, old, unloved or unused) to be donated to the scheme, which will see them fixed up and then passed onto disadvantaged children in conjunction with the Barnardo’s charity.
Marc Carey - Regional Sales and Marketing Europe - commented: "Hard Rock Cafe is urging as many people as possible to help us with this fantastic scheme. It doesn’t matter what condition the guitar is in our expert guitar technician will make them as good as new. The work Barnado’s do is incredible and we’re proud to be supporting them in their work with children across the UK."
Jane Stacey, Barnardo's UK Director of Children's Services said: "Barnardo's are delighted to be partnering with the Hard Rock Cafe through this innovative scheme. It's great that children and young people who are supported by Barnardo's services across the country will benefit from the generosity of those who donate their second hand guitars."
Hard Rock Cafes in London, Edinburgh and Manchester have teamed up with Barnardo's to launch the nationwide collection scheme.
