In the wake of hurricane Sandy and amist numerous budget cuts, many schools in and around New York are cutting their music program, something Ron "Bumbelfoot" Thal aims to change, with a little help from Gibson and the Little Kids Rock music program.

Thal will be jamming with students at the Mott Hall Community School in the Bronx on May 1. He will also be handing out free guitars there, courtesy of Gibson, who have donated more than $75,000 to the project.

Little Kids Rock is the leading nonprofit provider of musical education to public school children, providing free instruments and tuition to over 109,000.

"Little Kids Rock is so grateful to Gibson for their generous donation to our children, and to Bumblefoot for helping us inspire children and transform their lives by giving the gift of music," says Little Kids Rock executive director and founder David Wish. "Music changes children, and children change the world."
