Guns N' Roses' Duff McKagan to host radio show on Planet Rock

Legendary Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan and his wife Susan Holmes McKagan are set to bring their radio show Three Chords & The Truth to Planet Rock.
Three Chords & The Truth will broadcast on Planet Rock from Saturday 10th June at 7pm to 8pm for four consecutive weeks.
Commenting on joining the Planet Rock roster, Duff said: “Hey it's Duff McKagan. I will be coming to Planet Rock with my wife Susan and our radio show called Three Chords & The Truth. We're coming to Planet Rock to ROCK you!
“I've had such a great history with Planet Rock and it’s great to have a show on the station. I've been on that station since it started really, and it's great to be able to share music with you guys.
“We play music (that’s) maybe not at the top of the charts and (not) played all the time. We play stuff that we feel represents the truth of rock and roll.”
Duff McKagan is the latest in a long line of rock legends to host a Planet Rock show in our 23-year history.
Some of the big-name hosts include The Rolling Stones’ Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, Fish, the late-great Gary Moore, Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi, AC/DC’s Brian Johnson, Thin Lizzy’s Scott Gorham, Europe’s Joey Tempest, Status Quo’s Francis Rossi, Roxy Music’s Phil Manzanera, Bernie Marsden and Jethro Tull’s Ian Anderson.

Duff McKagan and Susan Holmes McKagan’s radio show Three Chords & The Truth is available to listen to on Planet Rock from 7pm to 8pm on Saturday 10th, 17th and 24th June, and Saturday 1st July 2023.
Guns N’ Roses headline the sold-out Glastonbury Festival on Saturday 24th June before they play huge shows at Glasgow Bellahouston Park (Tue 27th June) and London BST Hyde Park (Fri 30th June).
The Los Angeles hard rockers also headline the Power Trip mega-festival in California this October alongside fellow rock legends AC/DC, Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden, Metallica and Tool.

Last month, Duff McKagan premiered his first new solo track in four years, the intensely personal ‘This is the Song.’
The title track of McKagan’s three-track EP, the bassist shared ‘This is the Song’ to honour Mental Health Awareness Month in the US.
“‘This is the Song’ was written in the middle of a panic attack,” Duff explains. “I couldn’t breathe and couldn’t see straight, and lately, I have thankfully found my acoustic guitar as a refuge. If I just hold on to that guitar, play chords, and hum melodies, I can start to climb my way out of that hole.
“For those of you who have never experienced something like this, count yourselves blessed. To those of you who recognize what I am talking about: YOU ARE NOT ALONE!”
