Green Day Cancel Secret LA Show After Crowd Fears
The band were due to play a free show but were denied permits
Billboard reports that Green Day forced to cancel their upcoming "secret" show after the city of Burbank denied them the necessary permits due to concerns over crowd control.
Thousands of fans were expected to turn up after the band started promoting the show on Twitter last week. Authorities started to get a little nervous that the numbers would swell dramatically after concert goers learned the location of the show and they have now withdrawn the necessary permits for the show to go ahead.
Last week frontman Billy Joe Armstrong posted on Twitter "Green day Surprise rock n roll sex party show meaning "secret show" coming soon in LA AREA. Stay tuned! Clothing optional! Dance or f*** off. And it's FREE. Bring your own booze. Weirdos and punishers welcomed!"
