Green Day Back On Tour For 2013
Green Day have rescheduled their US tour dates for 2013.
The gigs, starting in March in Chicago, were put on hold last year after frontman Billy Jo Armstrong had a rather public onstage meltdown onstage in Las Vegas and consequently entered rehab.
The band issued a statement on their official website:
"We want to thank everyone for hanging in with us for the last few months. We are very excited to hit the road and see all of you again, though we regret having to cancel more shows.”
Frontman Billie Jo Armstrong said:
"Dear friends...I just want to thank you for all the love and support you’ve show for the past few months. Believe me, it hasn’t gone unnoticed and I’m eternally grateful to have such an amazing set of friends and family. I’m getting better every day. So now, without further ado, the show must go on. We can’t wait to get out on the road...Our passion has only grown stronger”.
Green Day’s tour is to support the new trilogy of albums, ‘¡Uno!’, ‘¡Dos!’ and ‘¡Tre!’.
