Glenn Hughes Still Hopes For BCC Tour
He reveals that the band just need a break
In a new interview with Metal Talk Glenn reveals that his supergroup may just need a break before they come back again.
He said: "In two years' time, we've done three albums and one live album. Now, I don't know about you, but that's quicker than any Led Zeppelin albums were made, I think, and it's for sure quicker than Purple used to make albums. I don't think anybody except Joe Bonamassa releases albums that quick. Do I care? No. But give us a break. I mean, we need to give you a break. I need a break. It's really difficult to write ten or twelve quality songs every year for three years. It takes a bit of steam to do that. So I need a break now."
And he addressed the rumour that new album, Afterglow, may be the band's last album.
"The rumor started with me saying I was frustrated. And that was... You know why I said it? Maybe to motivate people. But all it did was upset people. Remember, I'm one guy in a democratic band of five. But I really think that it's gonna be what it's gonna be. I would say to you, yes, we're gonna tour. But remember this, if we don't, don't come and shoot me. Don't find out out where I live on Google Earth and come and repel down my drain pipes."
