Just days before his eight-date 'Performs Classic Deep Purple Live' trek was due to kick off, Glenn was forced to postpone the entire tour on Saturday as he needed an urgent but non life threatening operation.

A statement read: “He needs to be treated for an illness that while not life threatening, must be dealt with immediately in order for it to not become a serious problem. He is expected to make a full recovery.”

It’s now been confirmed that the shows in Salisbury, Norwich, Holmfirth and Birmingham will now take place in late November. The Norwich UEA date has moved to Norwich Waterfront.

Refunds for customers who've purchased tickets for these gigs are available until Monday 27th May should they no longer wish to or are unable to attend the rescheduled November dates.

Glenn’s planned shows in Edinburgh, St Albans, Liverpool and Nottingham have all been cancelled. Customers for the axed dates have been asked to return to their original point of purchase to request refunds.

The rescheduled tour dates are as follows:

Salisbury City Hall – Sun 17th (rearranged from 21st May)
