Gabriel Revisits So As North American Tour Kicks Off
The former Genesis man plays his most successful solo album in full at tour kickoff
Rolling Stone reports that Gabriel launched his Front To Back Tour in the US at the Jones Beach Amphitheater in New York at the weekend and he is including a performance of the whole of So in the set. He is backed by the exact same band that accompanied him on the original So tour, including guitarist David Rhodes and original E Street Band keyboardist David Sancious.
This is the first traditional retrospective tour that Gabriel has ever undertaken, but he still managed to sneak in one brand new song called 'Obut' at the start of the set.
Sadly, the tour is not expected to reach this side of the Atlantic as Gabriel intends to take next year off before tentatively starting work on his first brand new album in over a decade in 2014.
