Future Looking Bright For Soundgarden

Chris Cornell already discussing new music

Published 22nd Jan 2013

Although Soundgarden released their first new album in 16 years ("King Animal") just two short months ago, the possibility of more new music has already been broached by frontman Chris Cornell.

"I don't see any reason why not" said the vocalist. "I think the overall attitude about keeping it going and the way we want to treat it to keep it going is really good. There's nothing stopping us from continuing to make records and continuing to play shows, that's for sure."

He also emphasised the creativity of the band, adding that "every time we're in a room we're coming up with something new" - though he does admit that discussions about a new album are premature at this point.

The band are currently touring North America in support of their latest record.
