Freddie Mercury Biopic

Sacha Baron Cohen has long been attached to the project, to play the role of Freddie Mercury. The film is to be scripted by Peter Morgan. 

The remaining members of Queen will be producing, along with Robert De Niro and Jane Rosenthal. Best Picture nominee Tom Hooper has been named as a possible director, fresh from his success at the helm of recent blockbuster Les Misérables.

Mercury is often named as one of the most gifted rockers of all time, known for his charismatic stage presence and 5-octave vocal range.
