Frampton Rocks Restored Les Paul

Frampton plays his lost guitar onstage for the first time in 30 years

Playing at the Beacon Theatre in New York last weekend, Frampton was reunited with the guitar with which he recorded much of the classic Frampton Comes Alive album.

The custom black Gibson Les Paul guitar had been lost since a plane crash in 1980 but he was reunited with it last year and now he's reintroduced it to his live show.

"If you think about it,” Frampton told CBS ahead of the show, "My career started to ebb and the guitar went away; things have been going remarkably well over the last few years...and I get my guitar back. It’s almost like the guitar said, ‘Ok, you’re worthy again.’”

Here's the moment that Frampton unleashed his Les Paul once again.
