Foreigner have announced a 13-date Canadian tour without their vocalist of the past two decades, Kelly Hansen.
Opening at Mary Brown’s Centre in St. John's, Newfoundland on Tuesday 21st October 2025 and wrapping up at Prospera Place in Kelowna, British Columbia on Friday 7th November, Foreigner’s Farewell Tour in Canada will feature Nova Scotian singer-actor Geordie Brown on lead vocals.
Brown previously starred in Canadian productions of Foreigner’s musical Jukebox Hero: The Musical in 2018 and 2019, and it was those performances that won over Foreigner founder and leader Mick Jones.
"I was most impressed by Geordie's performances of Juke Box Hero: The Musical in Canada,” Mick Jones says. “He is not only a consummate vocalist, but a verified Broadway actor to boot. We look forward to welcoming him at our shows on Foreigner’s 2025 Canadian tour."
Six years ago in March 2019, Brown also made a guest appearance onstage with Foreigner on the final night of the band's Cold as Ice tour in Halifax, Canada.
"I count myself so fortunate that (Foreigner) are bringing me along on this next chapter with the musical, and this Canadian tour," adds Brown. "Right now, I’m most looking forward to our Halifax show, for my hometown crowd."
Although 80-year-old Mick Jones is still a pivotal member of Foreigner, he hasn’t toured with the band since 2022 due to his Parkinson’s disease diagnosis.
Foreigner’s touring line-up for the Canadian tour also features Michael Bluestein on keyboards, Bruce Watson on guitar, Chris Frazier on drums and Luis Maldonado on guitar and vocals.
Pilson is Foreigner’s longest serving band member on the Canadian tour, having joined in 2004.
The band hasn’t provided any explanation for Kelly Hansen’s absence on the autumn trek, however he is scheduled to perform on Foreigner's other Farewell Tour dates throughout 2025.
Hansen joined Foreigner in 2005, and he made his recording debut on their album ‘Can’t Slow Down’ four years later.
Original lead singer Lou Gramm has made several guest appearances on Foreigner’s Farewell Tour, including their show on 15th March 2025 in Clearwater, Florida where he sang the closing tracks ‘I Want To Know What Love Is’ and ‘Hot Blooded.’
