Foos To Start New Album
Band to reconvene in September to start work on seventh album
The Foo Fighters are to start work on their brand new studio album later this year.
The band, who have been taking an extended break while the members each work on other projects, will reconvene later in the summer to start work on their seventh studio album – the follow up to 2007’s Echoes, Silence, Patience And Grace.
Speaking to the BBC, Dave Grohl revealed that the "Foo Fighters have just started writing and we're going to start recording in September, so life is full of music."
The news comes shortly after it was revealed that Grohl’s current side-project, Them Crooked Vultures, hope to release a new studio album at the end of the summer following live dates in Europe – including a slot at the Download Festival on 11 June.
Drummer Taylor Hawkins releases brand new solo album, Red Light Fever on 20 April and bassist Nate Mendel is reuniting with his former band Sunny Day Real Estate for live shows, including a date in London in April.
