Foos Mendel Reunites With Sunny Day For London Show

Post punk band to play Forum

Foo Fighter Nate Mendel has reformed his influential post-hardcore (pre-Foos) band Sunny Day Real Estate for a London show.

The band, which consists of Jeremy Enigk, William Goldsmith, Dan Hoerner and Nate Mendel, split in 1995 after their second album when Mendel and Goldsmith both left to join the Foo Fighters.

Mendel has remained with the Foos until the present day (besides Grohl he’s the longest serving member), while Goldsmith left in 1997.

Sunny Day Real Estate had a brief reunion in 1997, but Mendel did not take part.

However, the band are back together as their original line-up and will play a show at the London Forum on 22 April – their first ever UK show.
