Foos Drummer To Play Iggy Pop In New Movie
Taylor Hawkins will play the hellraiser in new CBGBs movie
NME reports that Hawkins has signed up to play Pop in a new movie called CBGB.
The film has already cast Alan Rickman as club owner Hilly Kristal, while Rupert Grint will play Cheetah Chrome, the guitarist for Dead Boys, a punk band who played a prominent role during the club's rise, and Rock Of Ages actress Malin Akerman is lined up to play Blondie's Debbie Harry. Mickey Sumner will play Patti Smith and Big Bang Theory's Johnny Galecki will take on the role of Television's manager Terry Ork.
The movie is expected at some point next year.
