Foo Fighters send fans 'airline boarding passes' teasing big announcement
Foo Fighters are set to make a big announcement on Tuesday night (21st February) at 6pm.
Select UK fans on the Foo Fighters’ mailing list have been receiving boarding passes in the post from the fictitious Obelisk Airlines, which has a Pyramid as its logo. The accompanying envelope also has the Foo Fighters’ logo within a Pyramid.
Almost certain to be pointing towards the band’s strongly rumoured headline slot at Glastonbury on The Pyramid Stage this June, the boarding pass comes with the check-in time of 6pm on Tuesday 21st February – the time when they’ll seemingly be making the announcement.
The departure airport is listed as Los Angeles LAX with the destination code as CAG – code for Cagliari Elmas Airport in Sardinia – and the signature featured belongs to Dave Grohl.

Foo Fighters were lined up to headline the Worthy Farm event in 2015 but pulled out when Dave broke his leg in on stage fall in Sweden just two weeks beforehand.
Back in November, the band launched the Foo Fighters passport website, which features an image of Europe from space along with a passport emblazoned with the Foos logo. Â
As soon as they announce a European festival show, a new stamp appears within the passport and the location of the event is illuminated in red on the background map.
The band’s main website has now updated to an airport departure board with a series of indecipherable dates, locations and venues and the status listed as ‘pending.’ At the bottom, it calls on people who have received an airline ticket in the post to check in.
