Foo Fighters respond to breakup rumours with hilarious video
After teasing an official announcement yesterday, Foo Fighters have posted a truly incredible video denying their split!
The seven-minute video opens with ridiculously OTT horror music soundtracking a number of press cuttings highlighting Foo Fighters’ demise.
The mockumentary style footage then shoots to a very self-absorbed Dave Grohl chatting with Butch Vig about his performance of The Beatles’ Blackbird at The Oscars before telling him he’s going to “set those (Foo Fighters) guys free” and go solo.
We then see seriously cringeworthy footage of Grohl laying down some terrible music in the studio with the legendary Nirvana producer.
Later, the other Foo Fighters members convene and consider who they’re going to replace Grohl with including Phil Collins, David Coverdale, Scott Stapp, Billy Corgan and even Justin Bieber.
Their eventual choice is Nick Lachey, formerly of 98 Degress (dreadful boyband, we googled it so you don't have to), who sings an acoustic version of ‘Everlong’ with Pat, Nate, Taylor and Chris.
The hilarious video ends with the words: "For the millionth time, we're not breaking up. And nobody's going f***ing solo!"
Amazing. We’re off to launch a campaign for a two-hour Foo Fighters mockumentary feature film…
