Foo Fighters, Muse Donate Items To Sub Pop Auction

Signed guitars to raise money for recently deceased Vice President\'s family

The Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, White Stripes and Muse have donated items to a charity auction to raise money for the family of Sub Pop records Vice President Andy Kotowicz, who died from injuries he sustained in a car accident last month.

The auction features signed guitars from both Muse and Foo Fighters, while a signed guitar from Pearl Jam has already sold for $12,500.

There are also other rare vinyl items from The White Stripes and Jack White’s other band, The Dead Weather.

Andy Kotowicz was killed in a car accident at the end of October and the funds raised by the auction will be donated to his family.

Sub Pop is the independent Seattle based label that was home to many of the pioneering grunge bands of the late 80s / early 90s. Nirvana and Soundgarden both released their first records through the label.
