Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl falls off stage once again
Less than four years after breaking his leg in Sweden, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has taken a painful tumble off stage again.
Foo Fighters were playing their first gig of 2019 at the The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas when Dave was handed a beer by a member of the audience in the front row.
Gratefully accepting the alcoholic beverage, Dave placed the drink on a speaker and took a sip before picking up the beer and downing it in one glug.
Attempting to navigate the step back on stage, Dave then lost his footing and fell off. Fortunately, security were on hand to help him up and he escaped injury this time.
Two songs into Foo Fighters’ show at Ullevi stadium in Gothenburg in June 2015, Dave Grohl miscalculated a jump onto a ramp and fell into a security pit, breaking his leg.
Despite heroically completing the gig while sitting down with his leg in a brace, Foo Fighters were forced to cancel a string of subsequent shows including a headline slot at Glastonbury before Dave returned to the stage later on in the summer on his custom-built throne.
At last summer’s Ullevi stadium show, Foo Fighters hilariously recreated the infamous fall when a stuntman disguised as Dave strode to the front of the stage and spectacularly performed a fake fall into the pit.
Foo Fighters play four UK festival shows this August; Glasgow Summer Sessions in Bellahouston Park, Belfast Boucher Road Playing Fields, Leeds Festival and Reading Festival.
Last month, Planet Rock collated the 12 heaviest Foo Fighters songs of all time, which you check out by clicking here.
