The song won ahead of Metallica’s ‘Atlas, Rise!’, Nothing More’s ‘Go To War’, Avenged Sevenfold’s ‘The Stage’ and K. Flay’s ‘Blood in the Cut’ at 60th annual Grammy Award ceremony.

Currently on tour in Australia and New Zealand, Foo Fighters didn’t attend the industry back-patting bash at Madison Square Garden in New York City. It was the first time the event had been held in the Big Apple in 15 years.

In addition to the Foo Fighters win, Greg Kurstin, who helmed the band’s chart-topping November 2017 album ‘Concrete and Gold’, scooped the Producer of the Year, Non-Classical gong.

Elsewhere at The Grammys, Mastodon won the Best Metal Performance award for their song ‘Sultan’s Curse’ from their 2017 album ‘Emperor of Sand’, while The Rolling Stones won Best Traditional Blues Album for 'Blue and Lonesome.'

Leonard Cohen posthumously won Best Rock Performance for ‘You Want it Darker’ ahead of tracks including Chris Cornell’s ‘The Promise’ and Foo Fighters’ ‘Run’.

Metallica’s ‘Hardwired… To Self-Destruct’, Mastodon’s ‘Emperor of Sand’ and Queens of the Stone Age ‘Villains’ all missed out in the Best Rock Album category with indie act War On Drugs claiming the prize for ‘A Deeper Understanding.’

The Grammy Awards are voted for by 13,000 Recording Academy members, who are comprised of artists, songwriters, producers and engineers. The 2018 ceremony honoured recording released between 1st October 2016 and 30th September 2017.
