Joining previously confirmed headliners The Cure, Foo Fighters will top the bill at Glasgow Summer Sessions at Bellahouston Park on Saturday 17th August.

Following this Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Taylor Hawkins, Chris Shiflett and Rami Jaffee will headline Leeds Festival on Friday 23rd August and Reading Festival on Sunday 25th August.

Tickets Reading & Leeds 2019 and Glasgow Summer Sessions go on sale from Planet Rock Tickets at 9am on Friday 23rd November.

The trio of new gigs follow Monday’s announcement that the Foos are playing Belfast Vital at Boucher Road Playing Fields on Monday 19th August and Dublin’s RDS Arena on Wednesday 21st August.

Foo Fighters triumphed at Manchester Etihad Stadium and London Stadium back in June. You can read our report on the opening Manchester gig right here.

The Undisputed Nicest Guy in Rock™, Dave Grohl, hit the headlines last week when he visited Los Angeles County Fire Station 68 and personally cooked a barbecue for firefighters who were risking their lives battling the Woolsey Fire in southern California.

Expressing their gratitude in a post on Instagram, Fire Station 68 wrote: “It was awesome to get a visit tonight from Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters. He also treated us to some of his own Backbeat BBQ. Thanks Dave! It was excellent!”

Foo Fighters will also play the ‘I Am The Highway: A Tribute To Chris Cornell’ concert at the Los Angeles Forum in January alongside Metallica and members of Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple of the Dog.
