Fish Announces Special Hometown Gigs

Fish is playing two gigs in Haddington this week to raise money for local causes

Fish has announced a couple of special hometown acoustic gigs to raise funds for two local causes.

Fish will play at St Mary's Church in Haddington, East Lothian on Friday and Saturday this week (22 & 23 October). The Saturday show is sold out but there are still tickets available for Friday’s gig.

The gig is part of the ongoing "Fishheads Club Tour" which has been getting great reviews as Fish returns to the stage with guitarist Frank Usher and keyboard player, Foss Paterson in an acoustic format featuring songs from throughout his 30 years as a singer/songwriter.

Both St Mary's gigs are being recorded and filmed for a future release as part of an ongoing project which will include his next studio album "Feast of Consequences" scheduled to be written and recorded for release in the Summer of 2011.

Friday and Saturday’s gigs will raise money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and the East Lothian Divers who are trying to raise money for a new engine to their RIB dive boat.

"I became a member of the East Lothian Divers when I came back from a trip to Costa Rica where I had dived for the first time in years,” says Fish of his links to East Lothian Divers. "I got the bug again and went through my Scottish Sub Aqua Club Sports Diver qualification with the local club. We dive on one of the finest coast lines in Britain which includes the marine reserve at St Abbs. The dive boat enables us to train and provide close support to divers at various levels of experience and gives us access to areas of coastline unapproachable from shore.”

Tickets can be bought or ordered for pick up at the venue through the official Fish web site www.the-company.com, at the "Wall of Noise" record store in Market Street, Haddington or on the night at St Mary's church.

Tickets are £17.50, doors are at 7pm
