First four bands confirmed for Steelhouse Festival 2019
Steelhouse Festival organisers have revealed the first four bands playing next year’s rock extravaganza.
Heading up the mountain in July are Living Colour who will play the Sunday Special Guest slot plus Gun, Crobot and The Amorettes.
Promoters Mikey Evans and Max Rhead said: “Here we go again, the ninth consecutive Steelhouse Festival. It gives us so much pleasure to announce such a legendary, genre-busting band as Living Colour as our Sunday special guests.
“'Cult of Personality', 'Middle Man' and 'Love Rears It's Ugly Head' - these are tracks that really pushed the traditional boundaries of what rock music was, we're looking so forward to hearing these and more on top of The Mountain!'
“Crobot are one of the most exciting live bands out there right now, both musically elastic and solid as a rock, the Americans will definitely be a Saturday highlight along with a re-energised Gun, who've pulled off one of the greatest comebacks of recent years with the last album cracking the UK Top 20.
“As for The Amorettes – forming something of a Scottish invasion with Gun! - it was about time we had West Lothian's finest back. There's seems to be some sort of focus on the fact they are all women - that's great - but the simple fact for us is...They rock like a b*stard".
With another 16 bands including three headliners to be announced, Steelhouse Festival takes place at Hafod-Y-Dafal Farm on the edge of the beautiful Brecon Beacons from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th July.
Tickets are on sale from Planet Rock Tickets right now.
Since its inception, Steelhouse Festival has boasted performances from Glenn Hughes, Myles Kennedy, Black Star Riders, Wildhearts, Thunder, The Darkness, UFO, Europe, Rival Sons, Saxon, Anvil, Michael Schenker, Skindred and many more.
The event now boasts a larger stage, an official Friday night, more glamping and an official signing tent sponsored by Planet Rock.
