Faces Semi Reunite For Festival
Ronnie, Kenney and Ian to play special set at Goodwood festival
The Faces – minus Rod Stewart – will headline the Vintage At Goodwood Festival this August.
Mick Hucknall has been recruited to fill in on vocals for the band while former Sex Pistol Glen Matlock will fill in for the late Ronnie Lane. The reunion show follows a one-off performance at the Royal Albert Hall last October which Hucknall also appeared at.
"We got together to receive a PRS Lifetime Achievement award last year and very simply the magic was still there," said Ronnie Wood. "Playing with the boys again just felt right so we thought well why not? It’s exciting to be on this path again and I hope that the Faces fans are excited as we are – I'm just really looking forward to seeing them this summer – bring it on!"
Drummer Jones added: "Expect the classics and also some incredible guests when we get back on the road, it's going to be lots of fun."
The Vintage At Goodwood Festival takes place on the weekend of 13-15 August and could well have put together the most eclectic line-up of any festival you’ll see this year.
Other acts on the bill include The Damned, The Buzzcocks, The Beat, Sandie Shaw, Roy Wood, Martha & The Vandellas and a whole lot more.
