The drumming icon dropped by Planet Rock for a wide-ranging chat with Liz Barnes and while discussing Queen’s previous output, Roger strongly hinted that there might be more to come.

“If we do anything in future, I’d like it to be something new,” Roger said. “I don’t know how new it would sound but I think if Brian and I could come up with a song or two, which we felt fitted (we’d release it).”

Pushed about the likelihood of this coming into fruition, Roger added: “It’s quite possible. We’re really enjoying (performing live). We’ve just come back from the Far East, well about a month ago now, which was phenomenal.

“It’s great to know there’s still a demand (for Queen’s music) and we do love performing with Adam Lambert who’s an incredible singer and a lovely man. A camp Elvis!”

Queen’s last studio album ‘The Cosmos Rocks’ with Paul Rodgers was released to a mixed reception in 2008. It was Roger and Brian’s first full album under the Queen moniker since ‘Made In Heaven’ 13 years earlier.

Available to buy right now, ‘Queen On Air’ is available as 2-CD set and 3-LP set / Collector’s Edition 6-CD set with added live concert broadcasts and radio interviews.
