Massive Wagons have premiered the video to their Rick Parfitt tribute track ‘Back To The Stack’ exclusively on Planet Rock.

A perfect homage to the late rock legend, the video sees the band don trademark Status Quo denim as they blast out the rocking anthem in front of a colossal Marshall speaker stack.

Introducing the video, the band said: “We great fun making (the video) in a true Quo fashion, no airs or graces, just us and what we do. Big Backline, big lights, big denim! We really hope you dig it and remember big Rick. Rest In Peace man.”

Explaining why they penned ‘Back To The Stack’, Massive Wagons said: “Mortified at the passing of Rick Parfitt, we were moved to pay tribute in the best way we can; to write the man a song and send him off in our own personal way.

“Rick was integral to Status Quo, a band whose songwriting, live presence and spirit heavily influenced ourselves, as well as bringing millions of others great pleasure, we feel it's the least we could do.

"‘Back To The Stack’ is not a sad song, it's no ballad but a heartfelt serious rocker, exactly what Rick, the hardest rocker in town, was all about."

The song is available to download from Amazon here and iTunes here right now. All proceeds go directly to Teenage Cancer Trust.

Massive Wagons added: “Every penny from every download of the track will be going directly to the wonderful people at The Teenage Cancer Trust, a truly remarkable charity indeed.

“The TCT have always had strong links to the rock community, we were certainly made hugely aware of its work through the support of Roger Daltrey, Noel Gallagher and Paul Weller and all the wonderful events they have put on over the years, we are honoured to be able to do our bit.”

‘Back To The Stack’ is the first tasty musical morsel to emerge from the writing sessions for Massive Wagons’ fourth studio album.

The band are currently working on the follow-up to 2016’s critically lauded Welcome To The World alongside playing a series of shows.

Their live schedule includes an appearance at Stone Free Festival at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday 17th June where they’ll perform on the Big Entrance Stage. Headlined by Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow, the event also boasts performances from Blue Öyster Cult, Sweet, The Answer, Gun and loads more.
