Europe to headline Steelhouse Festival 2022
Two bands have been added to the line-up
Fresh from wowing as special guests on Whitesnake and Foreigner’s co-headline UK tour, Europe have been unveiled as the Sunday night headliners at Steelhouse Festival 2022.
Europe’s UK festival exclusive performance on Sunday 31st July 2022 comes eight years after their last appearance up the Steelhouse Mountain. They were previously scheduled to play in 2021 but had to postpone due to travel restrictions.
Frontman Joey Tempest said: “Myself and the boys are well pleased to be back at Steelhouse after last year's unfortunate postponement. We're all back on track and up for some great fun on The Mountain - see you all very soon!”
Steelhouse Festival organisers Max and Mikey said: “We're are beyond happy to announce, FINALLY, that Europe will make it back to the top of the Mountain in 2022. We have had to keep this under wraps for quite some time.
“There was of course a huge amount of disappointment when it became obvious that the travel restrictions of 2021 would prevent them from making that headline appearance. However, when they made it clear they wanted to fulfil their commitment, we knew it would be worth the wait.”
Also newly confirmed for Steelhouse Festival today are Finland’s prodigal sons, Von Hertzen Brothers.
“On a personal level we're overjoyed to have VHB return to Steelhouse,” Max and Mikey enthuse. “They are one of our favourite bands of this century. A real marker for where rock music which contains, depth, ambition and integrity can go...
“It also didn't hurt that the band’s fans mobilised themselves and requested en masse for them to play - something we were more than happy to facilitate.”
Europe and Von Hertzen Brothers join a Steelhouse Festival line-up that already boasts Friday headliner Ace Frehley (UK festival exclusive), Michael Schenker Group, Graham Bonnet Band (performing Rainbow's 'Down to Earth' album), Inglorious (Friday headliner), Orange Goblin, H.E.A.T., Myke Gray, Diamond Head, Black Spiders and many more.
Taking place at Hafod-Y-Dafal Farm in Ebbw Vale, Wales from Friday 29th to Sunday 31st July 2022, tickets to Steelhouse Festival are on sale now RIGHT HERE.
