Europe will play on the second stage at the festival on Friday 8 June, on the day that Slash headlines the stage and Prodigy headline the Main Stage.

The band are the pick of the new additions on the bill, which also includes a rare performance from Norwegian "deathpunk" act, TURBONEGRO. Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Gus G's other band, FIREWIND, make their first appearance on a Download bill since 2008.

THEORY OF A DEADMAN and their upcoming tour mates STELLAR REVIVAL are also added to the bill, as are long standing Brit punk band ANTI-NOWHERE LEAGUE.

Bristol’s TURBOWOLF, acclaimed Cambridge rockers MALLORY KNOX, up and coming prog metallers THE SAFETY FIRE, American deathcore act EMMURE and infectious hard rockers BROKEN are also amongst the latest additions.
