Erik Grönwall to release original solo music in 2025
His first song of the year lands in April

Former Skid Row and H.E.A.T. vocalist Erik Grönwall has revealed he’s poised to release original solo music throughout 2025.
After winning Swedish singing competition Idol 2009, Erik Grönwall released his self-titled debut solo album in December 2009 featuring covers and the original Swedish language single ‘Higher.’
A second album ‘Somewhere Between a Rock and a Hard Place’ followed in 2010 before Grönwall enjoyed a decade-long tenure fronting heat H.E.A.T and a rapturously received two-year stint with Skid Row.
In a Facebook post on Sunday 12th January updating fans on his 2025 plans, 37-year-old Erik Grönwall said he’s releasing one original song per month from April.
“It’s happening! I’ll be releasing my original music,” the vocalist wrote. “Each song will debut on YouTube and all major streaming platforms simultaneously. GRÖNWALL is coming - get ready! The first original song will be released April 18th.”
Grönwall also confirmed he’ll still continue to upload his wildly popular cover songs with the first monthly video premiering on YouTube on 7th February.
His other plans for the 12 months ahead include acoustic live performances on YouTube, a members-only livestream happening every Thursday, and Grönwall Encore on Fridays featuring live reactions and discussions about both new and old releases.
Erik Grönwall and Skid Row amicably parted ways in March 2024 with the singer citing his ongoing health issues and the rigours of touring.
Skid Row are still on the hunt for a new permanent vocalist after Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale stood in for Erik Grönwall at a handful of US dates last summer.
Erik Grönwall will also be performing UFO classics with Michael Schenker this year, including a headline slot at Maid of Stone festival on Sunday 20th July.
