Eric Clapton to release live album next month
A new Eric Clapton live album called ‘Live In San Diego’ is being released on Friday 30th September.
The 16-track album was recorded on 15th March 2007 at San Diego’s iPayOne Center and boasts five tracks recorded with Eric’s musical hero, the late JJ Cale, including three from their Grammy Award winning album ‘The Road To Escondido’.
Blues-rocker Robert Cray also joined Eric on the final song of the set ‘Crossroads’.
The setlist also featured Eric’s classic covers of Jimi Hendrix’s ‘Little Wing’, Robert Johnson’s ‘Little Queen of Spades’ and blues standard ‘Key to the Highway’.
Eric Clapton/Derek and the Dominos original songs include ‘Wonderful Tonight’, ‘Layla’, ‘Tell the Truth’, ‘Anyday’ and ‘Got to Get Better in a Little While’.
