Eric Clapton & Friends: A Tribute to Ginger Baker is happening on Monday 17th February 2020 at the 5,000 capacity Eventim Apollo Hammersmith in West London.

Slowhand and other musical guests to be announced will be paying tribute to Ginger Baker’s legendary music career, including Clapton and Baker’s seminal work together with Cream and Blind Faith.

Tickets go on sale from the Eventim Apollo’s website at 10am this coming Friday (29th November).

Proceeds from the event will go to Leonard Cheshire, a health and welfare charity that’s close to the Baker family’s hearts.

Founded in 1948 by Royal Air Force officer Leonard Cheshire, the UK based charity supports individuals to live, learn and work as independently as they choose, whatever their ability.

Ginger Baker died at a Canterbury hospital on Sunday 6th October. He was 80 years old.

Following his death, stars from across the music world paid tribute to Ginger Baker’s genius, including Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Dave Davies, David Coverdale, Bernie Marsden, Brian May, Neil Peart and Hawkwind.Â
