Elles Bailey premieres 'Sunshine City' video on Planet Rock

Fast ascending singer Elles Bailey has premiered her ‘Sunshine City’ music video exclusively on Planet Rock.

Just like previous single ‘Cheats & Liars’, the instantly catchy ‘Sunshine City’ is currently on heavy rotation on Planet Rock’s airwaves, and it perfectly showcases Elles Bailey’s phenomenal blues voice.

Commenting on the song and its accompanying video, which was filmed in her native Bristol, Elles Bailey says: "I know I've said it before, but ‘Sunshine City’ isn't supposed to take itself too seriously; it's about letting your hair down, putting on your fancy shoes, gathering your friends together and revelling in a little bit of hedonism.

“So, to make the video, we did just that! I got my friends Lady Nade, Holly Dean Revington and Bexx out for a day partying in Bristol and George Montague followed us around with his camera. The video features some of my favourite spots from my hometown: Uncle Sam’s Vintage Store, The Broken Dock, & The Bristol Fringe.

“I'm delighted we also managed to rope co-writer Matt Owens (of Noah and the Whale) in for a cameo on the guitar, and a huge shout-out to Tristan Brightman and The Bristol Blues Dancing Society for cutting some shapes on the docks!”

‘Sunshine City’ and ‘Cheats & Liars’ are both lifted from Elles Bailey’s new studio album ‘Shining in the Half Light’, which is released in 2022.
