Earliest Live Zep Recording

Have a listen to this classic 1968 performance from a band billed as Len Zefflin

It’s not exactly the newest discovery, but the earliest known Led Zeppelin live recording is currently doing the rounds online and we thought you may want to hear it.

The Metal Den found the recording on YouTube and you can hear it below. The version of ‘Dazed & Confused’ dates back to a concert at Gonzaga University’s gymnasium in Spokane, Washington on 30 Dec, 1968. It was the band’s fifth EVER US show when Zep toured as the support act for Vanilla Fudge (Zep were billed on the concert poster as Len Zefflin).

The recording was made three weeks before the band’s debut album was released.
