Dylan Back Climate Change Album

Reworked version of A Hard Rains A Gonna Fall

Bob Dylan has given his backing to a new album which is raising money for Artists Project Earth – a disaster relief fund which helps victims of natural disasters all over the world.

Dylan has given permission to Rhythms Del Mundo to rework his song, ‘A Hard Rain’s A Gonna Fall’. It’s the first time he’s ever given official permission for the song to be used in this way.

On his official website the legendary songwriter said:

"Proceeds from this album will be used to provide necessities such as medical supplies, food, water and shelter to the people of Haiti, Chile and the Tibetan Plateau who are still struggling to survive in the wake of recent devastating earthquakes.”

The Rhythms Del Mundo: Revival sees a number of well known songs reworked by Afro-Cuban musicians, often using the original or rerecorded vocals by the original artists. Other tracks on the Revival album include ‘I Fought The Law’ and ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit.’
