Duff McKagan Has Fans All-A-Twitter
A misguided Tweet has GNR and Velvert Revolver fans all excited
The day before Velvet Revolver were due to play a brief reunion show in West Hollywood and in the midst of incessant Guns N Roses reunion rumours Duff McKagan posted this to his Twitter account:
"Refused reunion? Now we are talkin'!"
Almost immediately afterwards McKagan was deluged by friends and fans about which of his bands had refused to reunite or what they were talking about.
However, on his official blog for the Seattle Weekly McKagan cleared up the confusion:
"After I made my little Refused remark on the Twitter, my phone gadget just kept blinking. Incessantly. It turns out that a whole bunch of people thought I was tweeting about VR or GNR. Nope. Just tweetin' about a little Swedish punk rock band, that I thought a whole lot more people knew something about. Oops....
"I think I will use terms like 're-formation' or 'getting back together to play some shows' from here on out if and when I tweet. That other word just causes too much of a ruckus."
"Until the next time, I will think before I tweet."
