Download Headliners Rumoured

Rumours have emerged that reformed alt-metallers System Of A Down may be next year’s Download Festival headliners.

A few reports in the media suggest that the band, who haven’t played together since going on indefinite hiatus in 2006, will top the bill at Download in 2011.

The band have confirmed one reunion show in Paris in June, and when bassist Shavo Odadjian was asked about Download on his Twitter page he was particularly coy, simply saying "Stay tuned”.

 Download takes place on the weekend of 10-12 June. Line-up announcements are expected in the next few weeks, but you can secure your ticket to the UK’s premiere, award winning hard rock festival as early as next week.

Special pre-Christmas Early Bird tickets go on sale on Friday 3 December at 9am.
