Download Festival has 'incredible headliners' locked in for 2026

Download Festival booker Kamran Haq has confirmed that they already have ‘some incredible headliners’ locked in for the 23rd event in June 2026.

In a post on Instagram this afternoon (16th June), Live Nation's Kamran Haq revealed that he took over the Download helm this year after being passed the torch by Andy Copping.

Andy Copping created the very first Download Festival in 2003, and he has been the head honcho for the Donington extravaganza for over two decades.

Making his new role public, Kamran Haq took to Instagram to share a photo of himself and Download Dog poring over something important backstage at this year’s triumphant event.

“Download this year was a big deal for me as it was my first year being at the helm and heading up the festival,” Haq told his followers.

“Huge thank you to @andycoppingofficial for passing on baton and the endless support! Thank you to the booking team @jennycotter @dannikawebber @pheehagan @liampatrickcarney for helping put this line up together!”

Teasing next year’s event, Haq added: “Loads of exciting things planned for 2026, we’ve already got some incredible headliners locked in! #downloadfestival”

The 23rd Download Festival takes place at Donington Park from Wednesday 10th to Sunday 14th June 2026.
