Doors' John Densmore To Release Second Book

Former Doors drummer John Densmore announced backstage at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction gala last week that he'll soon be releasing a book - or as he calls it, "another self-serving memoir."  Densmore hopes to release it book either this autumn or next spring.  While a title wasn't revealed, he did say it was a "real important book to me.  Sort of rock and roll going up on trial."  He also said that this new book "was a leaf" he was extending towards Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger.  He called his relationship with the former Doors members "strained."

Manzarek and Krieger were sued by Densmore after the duo formed a new version of the Doors called The Doors Of The 21st Century.  After legal battles, Manzarek and Krieger toured together under different names, including Manzarek-Krieger and Ray Manzarek And Robby Krieger Of The Doors.

Densmore released an autobiography, Riders on the Storm, back in 1990.
