Don Henley, Joe Walsh Working On Solo Albums

Eagles alumni to release solo albums in 2011

Both Don Henley and Joe Walsh are aiming to release solo albums in 2011, according to reports.

Don Henley is reported to be recording an album of country covers in Nashville in between Eagles tours. Former Tom Petty drummer Stan Lynch is said to be producing and the album will feature a range of all star guests.

Joe Walsh, meanwhile, is hoping to release his brand new solo album in May.

The album will be his first since 1992's Song's For A Dying Planet and it is though to be half self-produced and half produced by Jeff Lynne. Walsh explained the gap between solo efforts in an interview last December.

"I finally got sober in 1994, and I had to learn actually to write and play and do everything sober," he says. "I just didn’t write for quite a while. Also, the Eagles have really been busy. During downtime I can work on doing an album and I just decided that however long it took would be okay. It’s nice to do one because I want to, and not because I have to. I’m really happy with it."
