Derek & The Dominos Classic To Be Reissued
Clapton supergroup album expanded for 40th birthday release
Classic Derek & The Dominos album, Layla & Other Assorted Love Songs, is to receive the deluxe 40th Anniversary Reissue treatment next year.
Clapton fan club, Where’s Eric? is reporting that the album will be reissued in March as an expanded and remastered 40th anniversary edition.
Although track lists haven't been revealed yet, there will be a new CD remaster from the UK master tapes, a two-disc "Deluxe Edition" and a "Super Deluxe Edition" with 4 CD's, 1 DVD and 2 LP's.
The original album was released in December 1970 after Eric Clapton, Jim Gordon, Carl Radle and Bobby Whitlock convened in Criteria Studios in Miami, Florida with producer Tom Dowd. Following an invitation from Clapton, Duane Allman of the Allman Brothers Band joined in on the now-historic sessions.
