Deep Purple Heading To America
Rock legends to take their Orchestra tour to North America this summer
Fansite Deep-Purple.net reports that the band will head to North America in June for a 15 date North American tour where they will be accompanied by a 30 piece orchestra at each of the shows.
The concerts, billed as "A Night with Deep Purple and the Songs That Built Rock" will NOT be performances of Jon Lord's Concerto For Group And Orchestra, but will be new versions of the band's biggest songs.
The North American tour will be followed by a European tour, although no UK dates are on the horizon at the moment.
However, you will be able to see the band when they ditch the orchestra to act as the "house band" at the Sunflower Jam on 8 July.
