Dee Snider Records Broadway Tunes
The Twisted Sister frontman has recorded a new album of showtunes
Classic Rock Magazine reports that Snider has recorded an album called Dee Does Broadway.
Snider says that the album will come out this year and that his aim for the next year is "to bridge the gap between Broadway and rock 'n' roll and introduce the hard rock audience to the amazing music of the Great White Way!"
Snider recently told Goldmine: "It's sort of a Twisted Christmas taken to Broadway. But there are some pretty metallic moments there, I'll tell you. Sweeney Todd translates into a metal song amazingly — bass, drums, guitar — so some of the songs are really metallic, but it's a rock record".
Snider has recently enjoyed a stint as part of the Rock Of Ages cast in New York.
