Hitting the silver screen for one night only on Wednesday 13th September 2017, the film features footage from David’s two shows at the ancient Pompeii Amphitheatre in the shadow of Mount Vesuvius on 7th and 8th July 2016.

The gigs took place 45 years after Pink Floyd shot their legendary concert documentary film Live At Pompeii in front of an empty amphitheatre.

Incredibly, David is the only performer to play to an audience in the arena since the time of the gladiators, almost two millennia ago.

Ahead of the shows last summer, David said: “Tonight will be the first time since 79 A.D. that there's been an audience watching something here! And there were gladiators, I guess, but the history of it all is something that has crossed our minds.

“It's a magical place and coming back and seeing the stage and the arena was quite overwhelming. It's a place of ghosts.”

David Gilmour Live At Pompeii was filmed in 4K by director Gavin Elder, and will be presented in Dolby Atmos sound.

The rock legend performed an epic 23-song set at the shows that consisted of 14 Pink Floyd classics and nine solo tracks.
