David Bowie's The Next Day Tops 2013 Record Store Chart
The album was the most purchased in independent stores.
According to data released by The Official Charts Company, Bowie's 24th studio album topped The Official Record Store Chart, which is only compiled from sales in independent record shops who participate in Record Store Day.
In the overall list of all sales in 2013, the record reached number 23.
Also placing in The Official Record Store Chart were Queens Of The Stone Age (number 5 for "...Like Clockwork"), Black Sabbath (number 26 for "13') and Pink Floyd (number 32 for "The Dark Side Of The Moon").
