Taking place at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on Sunday 8th January 2017, the event will feature Bowie band members, friends, and an extensive ensemble of top recording/touring musicians from around the planet.

The show is the first in a series of one-time only global goodwill concerts in aid of local charities that are being held in cities close to Bowie’s heart. Proceeds from the London show will go to the Children & the Arts charity.

A hugely ambitious project, each show will feature 30 core musicians together with up to 40 more local musicians.

In London, Bowie’s close friend Gary Oldman will be joined by former Bowie band members Mike Garson, Earl Slick, Adrian Belew, Mark Plati, Gerry Leonard, Gail Ann Dorsey, Sterling Campbell, Zachary Alford, Holly Palmer and Catherine Russell plus many more to be announced.

The musicians featured performed, wrote and recorded with David over five separate decades including 1973’s Ziggy Stardust tour, the Diamond Dogs tour, Isolar II (Heroes) tour, the Sound And Vision greatest hits tour, his ultimate A Reality Tour and more recently on his final album ‘The Next Day’.

Tickets to the Brixton show go on sale from Planet Rock Tickets at 9am on Friday 18th November.
