The band was developed off the back of Grohl’s first foray into movie directing. The maestro has put together a documentary about the iconic recording studios in California from which the movie (and the band) take the name.

The band performed a three hour set at the gig in Utah at the weekend and included a core of Foo Fighters’ members, Nate Mendel and Pat Smear plus Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic, Fleetwood Mac frontwoman Stevie Nicks, Slipknot’s Corey Taylor and John Fogerty from Credence Clearwater Revival among others.

Cheap Trick’s Rick Neilsen was also involved, along with Brad Wilk from Rage Against the Machine.
