Dave Grohl In Rock Hall Rush Jam?
Foo Fighters frontman will induct Rush into Rock and roll Hall of Fame.
Dave will share the honours with fellow bandmate Taylor Hawkins. Longtime fans of Rush will see this is as a justly deserved and perhaps long-overduwe honour; the band have been eligable since 1999.
A host of other stars are set to make an appearence during the evening. Don Henley of the Eagles will induct Randy Newman, who will then perform with John Fogerty and Jackson Browne. Mike McCready of Pearl Jam and Jerry Cantrell of Alice In Chains will appear onstage with Heart, and will be inducted into the Hall of Fame by Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell.
Rumours also abound of a jamming session between Grohl and the members of Rush.
"I’m hopeful" stated Rock Hall boss Joel Peresman. "More than a few times in the past, people have got caught in the moment and decide to perform. That’s what happened last year with Green Day — they were just there to present an award to Guns n’Roses, and after hanging around rehearsals, they decided to play.
"You have Dave around, Don Henley there – who knows what will happen? We have some very interesting people.”
