Dave Davies Coming Round To Kinks Reunion
Ray reveals that his brother is starting to warm to the idea
Ray Davies has revealed that his brother Dave is slowly coming around to the idea of a Kinks reunion.
Speaking to Gigwise Ray Davies revealed that he had discussed the idea of reforming the band with both Mick Avory and his brother and that the idea was moving towards a reality.
"The interesting thing is I’ve had emails both from Mick and Dave about various other subject matters, but I think it will be down to Dave at the end of the day," Davies told Gigwise. "But he’s gradually coming round to it.”
Davies has also revealed that he has written new material with Avory in case the reunion does happen.
"I’ll play some old songs, but new songs are what keeps me alive,” he say. "I think hardcore fans and new fans want to hear new material.”
Davies releases new collaboration album See My Friends on 1 November. The album sees Davies working with a number of high profile artists such as Metallica, Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi on covers of Kinks songs.
