Always a truly formidable act in the live arena, the Maryland rockers will kick off their Mote Park residency on Friday 17th July when they top the Main Stage bill. It’s their debut UK festival headline performance.

The ‘Who Wants To Rock?’ set on Friday will be a full-on electric performance featuring Clutch’s biggest anthems from their distinguished back-catalogue.

The Saturday afternoon will feature an ‘An Afternoon At The Doom Saloon’ set on the Main Stage, which is billed as ‘slow-burning set of Clutch classics, semi acoustic grooves, and more’ that will ‘start mellow and acoustic and gradually pick up steam.’

On Sunday night on the Blues Stage, Clutch will play a ‘Sound Attack!’ set that will fuse rock with go-go, funk and blues. Described as a party set, the performance will be more eclectic and experimental and will feature a number of special guests.

Commenting on Clutch’s unique residency, frontman Neil Fallon said: "We are very flattered to have been asked to do three sets at Ramblin’ Man 2020.  We plan to make each set as distinct as possible.

“The first set, on Friday, will be the barn burner, Saturday will be more of a semi-acoustic set, and for Sunday we plan to invite many friends to jam out to the end.  Then, we will sleep."

Ramblin’ Man Fair organiser Chris Ingham adds: “Ramblin Man Fair is committed to developing the festival headliners of tomorrow and, wherever we can to, innovate the established format of the rock festival.

“It’s wonderful then that we can kill two birds with one stone and announce Clutch - the band of the moment in rock terms - and our residency concept together. Three sets in three musical styles on three stages over three days - what better way is there for both Clutch and Ramblin’ Man Fair to lay out their collective visions?”

Also confirmed for Ramblin’ Man Fair today are Swedish heavy metal trio Grand Magus who are special guests on the Grooverider Stage, plus Gascony duo The Inspector Cluzo who play the Blues Stage.

The trio of new acts join an already impressive Ramblin’ Man Fair 2020 bill that boasts Grooverider Stage Sunday night headliners Hawkwind plus Monster Truck, Piston, Vintage Caravan, The New Death Cult, Crown Lands, Big Big Train (Prog In The Park Stage headliner), Curved Air (Prog In The Park Stage special guest), Pure Reason Revolution, Moon Safari, Lazuli and Blurred Vision.

Ramblin’ Man Fair once again takes place in the delightful surroundings of Mote Park in Kent from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th July 2020.
