Clinton wanted Led Zeppelin reunion!

The former president tried to get the band back together for his 12-12-12 benefit concert.

He may still be one of the most powerful men in the world, but even Bill Clinton couldn't orchestrate a reunion of Led Zeppelin.

The former president wished for the band to play at his 12-12-12 concert, to raise money for the victims of Hurricane Sandy. Despite meeting the band personally in Washington, where they were receiving their Kennedy Center Honors, the group said no

So far the band's only reunion was at the O2 Arena on December 10th, 2007, with Jason Bonham filling in for his late father on drums. Despite interest from Page and Jones in a subsequent tour, Plant could not find the time.

Subsequent tour rumours have circled, but so far no definite plans have been put in place.
